January 6, 1936 - October 28, 2017Adolph Reineke, 81, of Forest City, died on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the Mercy Medical Center in Mason City.
Adolph Anthony Reineke, a son of Anton and Loretta (Olberding) Reineke was born on January 6, 1936, in Randolph, Nebraska. He attended Randolph schools until the eleventh grade. In 1952, he moved to Forest City and graduated from Forest City High School in 1954. On December 14, 1954, he joined the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged on December of 1956. On April 7, 1958, he married Bonnye Newell of Garner, Iowa. To their union, five children were born.
Ade worked at the North Ag Fertilizer plant in Forest City, Forest City Hardware, Ray Peterson Welding, the Smith Douglas Fertilizer Plant in Albert Lea, Minnesota, Winnebago Industries, 3M Manufacturing, and the Methodist Church in Forest City. He, also, helped Norbert Machacek as an electrician. Ade enjoyed helping Larry Lovick and Andy Anderson farm for many years. Ade retired in 1998 from 3M Manufacturing. He and Bonnye lived on an acreage east of Forest City for fifty years. A member of St. James Catholic Church, he served as an usher and as a member of the church board for many years. He enjoyed farming, collecting Allis Chalmers tractors, and traveling with his wife, Bonnye. He lived for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ade is survived by his wife, Bonnye, of Forest City; his children: Dale (Julie) Reineke, of Forest City, Tony (Cindy) Reineke, of Britt, Ronda Peterson, and friend, Mark DeVore, of Ankeny, and LuAnn (Dave) Wiley, of Emmetsburg; five grandchildren: Brian (Lindsay) Peterson, of Grinnell, Daniel (Sarah) Peterson, of Lathrop, Missouri, Andrea (Derek) Blessen, of Urbandale, and Jordan and Jenna Wiley, both of Emmetsburg; five great-grandchildren: Meadow Blessen; and Alyssa, Andrew, Daniel, Emma, and Gene Peterson; and a sister, Evelyn (Duane) Vrieze, of Forest City; and a brother, David (Donna) Reineke, also of Forest City; as well as by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; his sisters, Rosemary and Helen Reineke; a brother, Edward Reineke; an infant daughter, Charlotte Marie; and three grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, November 2, 2017, at St. James Catholic Church in Forest City with Frs. Jim Dubert and Paul Lippstock officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the Forest City Veterans Ceremonial Unit. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at the Cataldo Schott Funeral Chapel, 505 North Clark Street. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 4:00 P.M at the funeral home.
