Louis Kraakevik
[April 5, 1906]* – November 23, 2005Louis Kraakevik, 99, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2005, at Presbyterian Homes in Roseville.
Louis grew up in Norway and Chicago. He moved with his young family to Iowa in 1949 where he worked as a salesman at Olson Furniture of Forest City, Iowa, then as owner of Fertile Hardware, and later, of the Clear Lake Appliance Store until he retired to Minnesota.
Louis was known for his loyalty and devotion to God and family, pride in his Norwegian heritage, his incredible work ethic and his zest for life.
His devoted wife, Mildred, a daughter, Elaine Erickson, and son, Bob, precede him in death. His son, Keith, eleven grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren survive him.
His life will be celebrated in a memorial service on Saturday, December 3, 2005, at 10 a.m. at the Arlington Hills Presbyterian Church, 1275 E. Magnolia Ave., St. Paul, Minnesota. Memorials preferred to Bethel College, Arlington Hills Church, or Presbyterian Homes.
