July 19, 1951 - January 31, 2014SPIRIT LAKE - Timothy R. Edmondson, 62, of Spirit Lake, formerly of Forest City, died on Friday, January 31, 2014, at the Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake.
Timothy Ray Edmondson, the son of Harold and Ila (Storey) Edmondson, was born on July 19, 1951, in Forest City. He graduated from Forest City High School in 1969 and the University of Northern Iowa in 1971. A devoted son, loving brother, and a caring friend, he had a lot of compassion and a good heart. Tim enjoyed cheering on his L.A. Dodgers and Green Bay Packers, playing cribbage with his mom, eating her home cooked meals as well as his sisters’ chocolate chip cookies, and golfing with his brothers. He had a great sense of humor, and others always enjoyed his company.
He will be deeply missed by his mother, Ila Johnson, of Forest City; his brothers, Dan (Carol) Edmondson, of Decorah, Steve (Linda) Edmondson, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Don (Lisa) Johnson, of Garner, and Jay Johnson, of Waterloo; and his sisters, Sue Edmondson, of Forest City, and Janet Snyder, of Marion, Indiana; along with sixteen nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Harold, in 1957.
Rest in peace, Tim. We love you!
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at the Petersen Lund Funeral Home, 505 N. Clark St., Forest City.
