William T. Hofmann
July 10, 1894 - October 27, 1928William T. Hofmann was born July 10, 1894, at Center Point, Clay, Indiana, to Annie C. and Peter Hofmann.

Found in the 1910 census at Perry, Clay, Indiana: Peter Hoffman 44, Anna C Hoffman 38, Charles B Hoffman 20, William F Hoffman 15, Edward A Hoffman 13, Dorothy E Hoffman 8.
In 1912, William moved west with his parents to Williams, Hamilton, Iowa.
In 1917, he registered for the United States draft, while working for his father as a farm hand. He was drafted in July 1918 and spent 17 months overseas during WWI. He returned to the U.S. 13 months after the Armistice.
He came to Thompson, Iowa and met and married Irene Ostrander Wilson sometime after 1925. They had no children. The marriage was not a long one, Irene died in 1928 and William T. Hofmann died four months later on October 27, 1928, at Thompson, Winnebago, Iowa. He is buried at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Thompson, Winnebago, Iowa.
