Marion G. Reynolds
September 6, 1862 - May 15, 1895

At her home in this city on Wednesday, May 15th, 1895, of heart trouble, Marion G., wife of Wm. W. Reynolds, age thirty-two years, eight months and nine days.

The funeral services were held at the Congregational church in this city on Thursday, May 16, the services being conducted by Rev. J. D. Mason, and the remains were interred in Oakwood Cemetery.

The deceased was born at Shipman, Illinois, September 6, 1862. Her maiden name was Marion G. Meriwether. She was married to W. W. Reynolds in 1890 and they moved to Forest City in 1893. She had been a sufferer from Pleurisy for a number of years, the disease ultimately causing her death. Mrs. Reynolds had formed a large circle of acquaintances during her residence in Forest City and her untimely taking off, just in the prime of womanhood, when life is filled with the brightest prospects, is a severe shock to all. She leaves no children, but a husband alone in the world to mourn the loss of a loving companion who shared his joys and sorrows alike. The INDEPENDENT extends sincere condolence to the bereaved relatives and commends them to one who alone can lighten the burdens of grief.

“Reynolds.” THE INDEPENDENT. Forest City, IA: 23 May 1895, p. 3.
