September 16, 1945 - August 10, 2019

After a short battle with cancer, Roger Jay Henn, 73, of Glenwood, Arkansas, formerly of Forest City, died on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at his son’s home in Buffalo Center.

Roger was born on September 16, 1945, in Hampton, Iowa, to Harley and Francis (Trees) Henn. He attended and, then, graduated from Belmond High School in 1963. Next, he enrolled at Drake University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

Roger worked at Winnebago Industries for twenty-three years before he retired. He enjoyed golfing so much he retired to Arkansas so he could fulfill his dream of golfing year-round. Otherwise, he enjoyed fishing, watching the Denver Broncos, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be, dearly, missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his children, Devan Duke, and her husband, Todd, of Lebanon, Oregon, Brad Henn (Heather Bell), of Buffalo Center, Iowa, and Tyler Henn, and his wife, April, also of Buffalo Center, Iowa, and Damaion Henn, of Forest City; twelve grandchildren; and his siblings, Lynn Henn, and his wife, Cindy, of Freeland, Washington, and Velioce Pomernackas, and her husband, Chuck, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, as well as by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Chad Henn.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, August 15, 2019, at the Cataldo Schott Funeral Chapel, 505 North Clark Street, Forest City, Iowa, with a short service beginning at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Roger Henn memorial fund in care of the family.
