Justin Meyering
April 8, 1978 - May 3, 2019

A wonderful, dearly loved human being, Justin Daniel Meyering will, forever, be missed and always cherished. He was an amazing son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend.

The third child of Henry and Julia Meyering, Justin was born in Forest City, Iowa, on April 8, 1978. Those who lovingly cleared the path for him include his maternal grandparents, Elouise and Gail Stoddard, of Titonka, Iowa; his paternal grandparents, Heiko and Grace Meyering, of Buffalo Center, Iowa; an uncle, Arf Stoddard; a cousin, Brandon Price; and a nephew, Jacob Roberts.

Those who will miss Justin include his mother, Julia Custer, and her husband, Bill, of Omaha, Nebraska; his father, Henry Meyering, and his wife, Janet, of Garner, Iowa; his brother, Michael Meyering, and his wife, Kristi (children: Shawn, Korissa, Tyler, and Jamieson), of Bennington, Nebraska; his sisters, Melanie Miller, and her husband, Todd (daughters, Morgan and Ashley), of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Kate Roberts, and her husband, Travis (children: Kaylie, Natalie, and Emily Henrichs; and Troy and Trevor Roberts), of Dakota City, Iowa, his step-brothers, Tyler Custer and Alex Garcia, of Omaha, Nebraska, and Nate Custer, and his wife, Kristy, of Grand Junction, Colorado, and his step-sisters, Corinna Cochran, and her husband, Eugene, of West Bend, Wisconsin, (children: Tierra Hanson; Vanessa Young; Brody and Joey Cochran; and Terri Goin (children: Vincent, Simon, and Eli, of Neptune Beach, Florida; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and pets.

Diagnosed in his early 20s with Paranoid Schizophrenia, Justin, a young man with well above average intelligence, enjoyed spending much of his time at the library. He and his family struggled with the woes of this disease up until the end. Beset by loneliness and constant pain, this precious soul, even in his illness, was loving, non-judgmental, compassionate, giving (when he had nothing material to give) considerate, and kind to others. Justin was an angel on earth. - God's great love has taken him home free from pain at last. Amen

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 10, 2019, at 1:30 PM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Buffalo Center with burial to follow in Olena Mound Cemetery. His family will greet friends during the hour before the service at the church on Friday.
