David E. Olson

David E. Olson, of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2018, in his home at the age of 67.

He was born in Forest City, Iowa, in 1951 and graduated from Forest City High School in 1969. He earned a BA at Macalester College and a JD from Hamline University. He worked at Schwegman, Lunberg and Woessner P.A., filing patent applications.

He is predeceased by his parents, Oscar and Ruth Lorraine Olson of Forest City. He leaves behind his wife, Mary Lynn, and his son, Matthew.

Known for his humor, wit and kind heart, David had an extensive knowledge of baseball and music trivia. Moreover, he enjoyed traveling to new places and had been in all fifty states and several European countries. In addition, he ran in twelve marathons.

A celebration of life will be held later this year. Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Human Society in Golden Valley, https://www.animalhumanesociety.org/ .
