Grace Elizabeth Lampman
October 31, 2005 - October 24, 2018A week shy of her 13th birthday, Grace Elizabeth Lampman, age 12, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at her home in Lake Mills.
Grace was born on October 31, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City to Shawn and Pam (Brackey) Lampman. She was baptized at Salem Lutheran Church and was in the 6th grade at LMCS.
Gracie could communicate with those who knew her best. Her smiling, giggling, dancing and even an occasional tongue sticking out (usually at her sisters) will be missed dearly. She enjoyed walking outdoors, listening to music, going to school, and getting puppy kisses from Minnow, Millie and Max. A night owl, Grace enjoyed spending time wrestling with her dad or snuggling with her mom.
She received the best care and compassion from so many people through her time with us including from the staff at the Gillette Children’s Hospital in the Twin Cities and from her nurses, Megan, Kassie, and Sheila, and the many other caregivers at home and school.
Survivors include her parents, Shawn and Pam Lampman; two very proud big sisters, Amanda and Samantha Lampman; her grandparents Jim and Rosemary Brackey, of Thompson, Iowa, and Nancy Sevley, of Clear Lake, Iowa; and her great-grandparents, Don and Donna Anderson, of Thompson, Iowa; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins and an amazing group of kids at school she was lucky enough to have as friends.
A celebration of Grace’s life will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills with Pastors Joel Guttormson and Bill Peters officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Memorial Cemetery, rural Lake Mills. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, October 27, 2018, from 9:30 until the service time at Salem Lutheran Church.
