He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law, Arden Slattum and Richard Groh.

A celebration of life gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, July 28, 2017, at the Cataldo Schott Funeral Home, 505 North Clark Street, Forest City, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ronald Johnson memorial fund in care of the family.
