Arlene Ostercamp, 92, of Titonka, died on Friday, March 3, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society in Forest City.

Arlene Esther Ostercamp,the youngest daughter of Lube and Sena (Ackerman) Lubben, was born in rural Rake on May 27, 1924. She attended country school and later graduated from Buffalo Center High School. Then, she studied at Hamilton's School of Business in Mason City.

After professing her faith in Jesus Christ, Arlene was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Buffalo Center, her home church.

With the help of one of her sisters, she met Julius Ostercamp. They married on August 7, 1947, in Mason City, Iowa. Subsequently, they were blessed with three children, Juleen, Judy, and Denny.

Arlene enjoyed working in her garden, canning vegetables, crocheting, and baking cookies, cinnamon rolls, and breads. She, also, played the organ and piano in church. Nonetheless, she, especially, enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Those preceding her in death include Jul, her husband of forty-two years; her parents; four brothers; and five sisters. Those left to cherish her memories include her children, Juleen (Dick) Becvar, of Shoreview, Minnesota, Judy (Ken) Isebrand, of Titonka, and Dennis (Brenda) Ostercamp, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at 10:30 AM, at the Heritage Town Center, 201 2nd Avenue SW, Buffalo Center, with Pastor Doug Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Olena Mound Cemetery, Buffalo Center. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, March 6, 2017, at the Oakcrest Funeral Services of Titonka and will continue for one hour before the service on Tuesday.
