Valerie Jeanne Frascht
June 5, 1971 - June 15, 2016Valerie Jeanne Frascht, 45, of Forest City, died on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at her home.
Valerie Frascht, a daughter of Virgil and Louise (Boyken) Heifner, was born on June 5, 1971, in Buffalo Center where she, also, attended school, graduating in 1989. On September 2, 1989, she married Charles Frascht at the First Baptist Church in Forest City. To this union, one daughter, Allyssa Ashley, was born. Valerie and Charles divorced in 1995.
Valerie loved singing, especially in her trio with Bonna Rae Moeller and Karen Fredrickson. As a group, they sang together for many years. In addition, she enjoyed helping her parents on their farm, especially with transplanting the impatiens each spring. Moreover, she enjoyed painting signs, eating Chinese food, and collecting CROCS. Indeed, she collected over sixty pairs of them. Valerie loved her family and friends and the time she spent with them. Without question, she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Valerie is survived by her daughter, Allyssa, and her fiancé, Michael Meckler, both of Forest City; her parents, Virgil and Louise Heifner, of Buffalo Center; three sisters, Lorraine (Todd) Brady, of Chaska, Minnesota, Susan (Van) Davis, of Buffalo Center, and Nancy (Michael) Miller, of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; as well as by thirteen nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, June 18, 2016, at the Heritage Town Center, 201 2nd Ave. S.W., Buffalo Center, Iowa 50424, with Pastor Kent Hillesland of the Community Chapel in Lakota officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be held one hour prior to the services at the Center on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Valerie Frascht memorial fund in care of the family.
