Ronald James
April 17, 1941 - December 5, 2015Ronald James, 74, of Buffalo Center, died on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.
Ronald, a son of Darrell and Ruby (Rummens) James, was born on April 17, 1941, in Buffalo Center, Iowa. He married Mary Smidt and had three children, Sonja, Amy, and Scott. Then, he remarried on December 8, 1983, this time to Barbara Workman and became the stepfather of her children, Michael, Michelle, and Edward.
For thirty-six years, Ronald worked in Tool and Die for Winnebago Industries. He enjoyed gardening, bowling, playing pool, and meeting his friends and neighbors up town for coffee.
He is survived by his wife, Barb James, of Buffalo Center; his children, Sonja (Randy), of Rochester Minnesota, Amy (Bill) Walk, of Buffalo Center, Scott (Sharese) James, of Clear Lake, Michelle (Shanon) Rohlfing, of Webb; several grandchildren; two brothers, Donnie and Ernie; and two sisters, Louise and Carol. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, December 11, 2015, at the Winter Funeral Home in Buffalo Center and again one hour before the services at the church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the United Methodist Church, 215 First St. NW, Buffalo Center, with Pastor Deb Devine officiating. Burial will follow at Olena Mound Cemetery in Buffalo Center.
