August 7, 1964 - August 19, 2015

Colleen Caye Brandt, 51, of Forest City, died on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City.

A daughter of Ralph and Debra Poppe Brandt, Colleen was born on August 7, 1964, in Osage, Iowa. Then, she moved with her family to Winona, Minnesota, where she attended school until the age of 13 before moving back to Osage, Iowa, and finishing her education at Osage Community Schools.

After Colleen formed a relationship with her long time best friend, Tom Foell, they had two beautiful children, Zack and Courtney. Recently on her fifty-first birthday, the family drove to Winona, Minnesota, for a family picnic. While there, they were, also, able to visit Garvin Heights. They all had a wonderful time. Colleen, always, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her soul mate, Tom Foell; her children, Zack, and his fiancée, Ashley Roney, and her grandson, Blake Brandt, from State Center, Iowa, Courtney Caye Foell, of Forest City; her sisters, Toni Brandt, and her special friend, Randy Movick, of Lake Mills, Shawna Brandt, and her special friend, Brian Duyree, of Northwood; and her brother, Jason Brandt, and his wife, Tasha, of Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Debbie Poppe Brandt, and her grandparents.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 29, 2015, at the Leland V.F.W. Post# 6161, 205 West Broadway, Leland, Iowa 50453. Per Colleen’s wishes, her body was cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Colleen C. Brandt memorial fund in care of her family.
