Victoria “Vicki” Jutting, age 66, of Lake Mills, Iowa, died on March 6, 2015, at her home in Lake Mills.
Victoria “Vicki” Marie Jutting, a daughter of John and Dorothy (Kramer) Boeckholt, was born on January 11, 1949, in Rolf, Iowa. After having lived in North Carolina, Rockford, Illinois, and Buffalo Center, Iowa, she graduated from Swea City High School.
She met her husband, Marty, in Mason City where he taught line dance. In 1982, they married in Garner, Iowa. Over the years, they lived in several north Iowa communities including Garner, Crystal Lake, Leland, and most recently Lake Mills. Delighted to serve others, Vicki, enthusiastically, worked as a home health aide. Moreover, with Marty’s help, she took great pride in opening their home to children who needed a helping hand. Over the years, they had several young people living with them, whom they felt honored to call their “foster kids.”
Vicki loved vegetable gardening as well as growing roses and other flowers. A very energetic and quick witted woman, she, also, enjoyed doing art work and painting. She had a knack for repurposing household items and decorations. Even though she spent a lot of time knitting and crocheting, she loved to get outside to hunt and fish, especially when she and Marty traveled to Missouri to meet up with their friends down there. Otherwise, in her spare time, she could play a wicked game of scrabble.
Vicki was preceded in death by her father, John, and one sister, Sandra Boeckholt. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Dorothy and Wayne Wubben, of Leland, Iowa; her spouse, Marty Jutting, of Lake Mills, Iowa; her children, Kris Dannen, of Clear Lake, Iowa, and Jon (Julie) Donnelly, of Sioux City, Iowa; her grandchildren, Jonas Donnelly, Mark and Gina Colombo, Brittney Retleff, and Matt and Carter Dannen; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan and Judy Boeckholt, of Buffalo Center, Iowa, and Randy and Laura Boeckholt, of Forest City, Iowa; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2015, at the Mittelstadt Funeral Home, 902 East Main Street, Lake Mills, with Pastor Randy Baldwin officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 12, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Mittelstadt Funeral Home.
