Clarice Orline Felland
(August 8, 1917 - January 7, 2015)Clarice O. Felland, age 97, of Lake Mills, died on Wednesday, January 07, 2015, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.
Clarice Orline Felland, a daughter of Carl and Lena (Calgaard) Reinsmoen, was born on August 8, 1917, in Worth County, Iowa. She attended country school and graduated from Joice High School.
On December 29, 1946, Clarice married John Felland at the Bristol Church parsonage. Subsequently, they raised their three children, Lois, Richard, and Lorna, on their farm south of Joice. After John passed away in 1982, Clarice moved into Lake Mills.
She enjoyed keeping active and was involved with Salem Lutheran Church and the Lake Mills Senior Citizens. She also liked visiting with family and friends. Clarice played cards and games, spent time gardening, and was very proud of her children and grandchildren.
Clarice is survived by her three children, Lois Johnson, and her husband, Stanley, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Richard Felland, and his wife, Candice, of Waterloo, Iowa, and Lorna Zenk, of Kamuela, Hawaii; eight grandchildren, Tim Felland, and his wife, Steph, Trisha Dinnibier, and her husband, Brent, Todd Felland, Chris Johnson, and his wife, Sara, Mike Johnson, and his wife, Alanna, Joe Zenk, and his wife, Carolyn, Ben Zenk, and Will Zenk; and eight great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Marley, Romey, and Everly Felland; Delaney, Cooper, and Bennett Dinnibier; and Eli Johnson; as well as by many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; a sister, Opal Brown; and two brothers, Orville and George Reinsmoen.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills with Pastor Peter Soli officiating. Burial will be at the Beaver Creek Lutheran Cemetery, rural Joice. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until service time at the church on Saturday. The Mittelstadt Funeral Home in Lake Mills is in charge of arrangements.
