Rose Hagedorn
(October 2, 1934 - October 7, 2014)

Rose, age 80, died on Tuesday morning, October 7, 2014, at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, Minnesota.

Rose Elizabeth Hagedorn was born on October 2, 1934, at Buffalo Center, Iowa, to Lammert and Elizabeth (Dorenbush) Hippen. She attended country school and graduated from Lakota High School. Then, she worked on the farm with her parents. On February 4, 1953, she married Donald Hagedorn in Buffalo Center, Iowa. After her children were born, she worked first at Green Giant in Blue Earth for a while and then at Telex before she retired. Rose was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Blue Earth as well as of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore.

Survivors include her children, Betty, and her husband, Bill Saunier, of Canton, Ohio, Vicky Wetzell, of Goshen, Indiana, and Gary Hagedorn, of Blue Earth, Minnesota, as well as five grandchildren, Shane Wetzell, and his wife, Lori; Amy, and her husband, Aden Miller; Christopher Hagedorn; Amber, and her husband, Phil Bulfur; and Lucas Hagedorn; her great grandchildren, Madeline Margaret Bulfur, Ashley Wetzell, Skylar Wetzell, Ella Rose Bulfur, and Gavin Michael Hagedorn; her sister, Leona, and her husband, Dick Farrow, of Swea City, Iowa; her brother, Larry Hippen, and his wife, Judy, of Fresno, California; and her sister-in-law, Lamae Hippen, of St. James, Minnesota. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; her sister, Norma; her brothers, John and Henry; and her granddaughter, Tera Honderich.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014, at 10:00 AM at the Winter Funeral Home in Blue Earth, Minnesota, with Rev. Victor Vriesen officiating. Interment will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery, Lakota, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, Friday, at the funeral home.
