May 30, 1941 - July 28, 2014Patricia L. Lichtsinn, 73, of Forest City, died on Monday, July 28, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa.
An only child, Pat was born on May 30, 1941, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Jane and Pete Gripp. She raised her four children, Rob, Chris, Holly, and Ron, in Clear Lake and Forest City, Iowa, and she loved her family and friends dearly.
Known for her ease in conversation with even total strangers, she possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life, she maintained a spunky and simple demeanor that won the hearts of many. Her interests included family, friends, reading, playing cards and games, and traveling.
Pat is survived by her children, Rob, of Kansas City, Missouri, Chris, and her husband, Jon, of Edmond, Oklahoma, Holly, and her husband, Bruce, of Apex, North Carolina, and Ron, and his wife, Hope, of Forest City, Iowa; and seven grandchildren: Eron, Miranda, Haley, Zoe, Sydney, Ryland, and Gavin.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. with a Celebration of Life service starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Petersen Lund Funeral Home, 505 North Clark St., Forest City, with Pastor Ed Bard, Chaplain-Hospice of North Iowa officiating. Interment will be held in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
