Rozella M. Boman, 97, of Forest City, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the Hancock Memorial Hospital in Britt.

Rozella was born in Forest City, Iowa, on December 10, 1916, to Grover B. and Emma (Nelson) Chryst. She graduated from Forest City High School in 1934 and attended Waldorf College. She was employed in the Winnebago County Auditor's office, the Abstract Office, and the Department of Social Services. On November 4, 1950, she married Juel P. Boman, with whom she was blessed with thirty-three years of marriage.

Rozella accepted the Lord as her Savior at an early age and was a member of the Calvary Baptist church where she served as a church pianist and organist, Sunday school teacher, choir member, and member of the Ladies Mission Circle.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Johnson, of Forest City; her step-daughter, Kathryn Kirkwood, of Butler, Pennsylvania; her grandsons, Brandon, Brian, and Timothy Rollefson and Joel Kirkwood; and her great-grandchildren, Christian Rollefson and Jade Rollefson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son-in-law, John Kirkwood; and a grandson, Jared Kirkwood.

Private family services will be held, and there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, condolences and memorials may be directed to Barb Johnson, PO Box 44, Forest City, Iowa.
