Elgin Echo, Elgin, Iowa, 9 April 1903.

From western papers we learn of the recent death, at Forest City, of T. J. Butcher, a former resident of this city. Mr. Butcher will be well remembered by many of our older people. He was at one time a prominent citizen of Elgin having held different offices of public trust here, among them that of Justice of the Peace. He was also a member of the __th Iowa Regt, during the war of the rebellion.
