Scott Brackey Peterson, 32, of Lake Mills, Iowa, died Saturday, January 27, 2007, at his home in Lake Mills, Iowa.

Scott L. Brackey was born May 17, 1974, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, the son of Diane Brackey and the late Steven Peterson. Baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Synod Church in Lake Mills, he subsequently graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1993.

Scott loved shooting pool. He also liked golfing, playing cards, hunting, and fishing. But more than anything, he loved his mother and his family and time spent with his best friend, Jay.

Survivors include his mother, Diane Brackey, of Lake Mills; his sister, Nichole Segura; his nieces and nephew, Sarah, Rachel, and Jacob; a special friend, Melissa Hacker, Cali and Abbey, of LuVerne, Minnesota; his grandparents, Ray and Thelma Isaacson, of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Marjorie Peterson, of Ankeny, Iowa; as well as several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Peterson; and grandparents, Marvin Brackey and Lesley Peterson.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, at the Lake Mills Synod Lutheran Church in Lake Mills, Iowa, with Pastor Karl Hermanson officiating. Burial will take place at Lake Mills Synod Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday evening, at the Mittelstadt Funeral Home in Lake Mills and again one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
