(November 23, 1921 - May 8, 2011)

Marcella R. Hauge, age 89, of Lake Mills, died Sunday, May 08, 2011, at the Lake Mills Care Center in Lake Mills, Iowa.

Marcella Ruth Hauge was born November 23, 1921, in Joice, Iowa, the daughter of Southwick and Marjorie (Sweet) Larson. She attended and graduated from Joice High School.

On March 27, 1942, she married Bertrin Hauge at the Winnebago Lutheran Church in rural Lake Mills, Iowa.

Marcella loved her family. She enjoyed camping, spending time in her flower garden, and just relaxing in the out-of-doors. She was an avid reader. Marcella worked at and retired from Deluxe Manufacturing in Lake Mills after twenty-six years.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-nine years, Bertrin Hauge, of Lake Mills, Iowa; her daughter, Jean (Steve) Klunder, of Allison, Iowa; her son David (Roxanne) Hauge ,of Grimes, Iowa; three grandsons, Andrew (Annie) Hauge, Matthew Hauge, and Casey Klunder; her sisters, Louise (Marle) Haugebak, of Northwood, Iowa, Merle (Dean) Statzer, of Mason City, Iowa, Dorothy (Burton) Williams, of Kensett, Iowa, and Norita Carrigan, of Aurora, Colorado; her brothers, Duane (Arlene) Larson and Norman (Cindy) Larson, both of Decorah, Iowa; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lorraine Kasik.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at the Winnebago Lutheran Church in rural Lake Mills, Iowa, with Pastor Bill Peters officiating.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the Mittelstadt Funeral Home, 902 East Main Street, Lake Mills, Iowa 50450, and again one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will take place at the Winnebago Lutheran Cemetery in rural Lake Mills, Iowa.

The family would like to suggest memorials be made to the area Food Bank, 215 South 4th Street, Forest City, IA 50436.
