Funeral services were held Saturday, June 21, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Forest City, Iowa with burial in the Crystal Lake Cemetery for Arthur Siekmeier who died June 18, 1986 in his sleep.

He was born April 12, 1902 the son of August and Bertha (Klocke) Siekmeier in Allamakee County, Iowa. His parents moved to a farm near Crystal Lake, Iowa when Arthur was two months old.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Marilyn.

His wife, the former Dorothea Nolting of Waukon, Iowa was not able to attend the funeral of her husband because she is in the hospital. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Allen Siekmeier of Mahtomedi, Minnesota, Donald Siekmeier of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and David Siekmeier of Columbus, Nebraska, and a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Diane) Johnson of Stillwater, Minnesota.
