Miss Helen Halvorson died at her home on East Des Moines street Tuesday morning after an illness of only about two weeks. The funeral will be held from the home tomorrow morning and the remains taken to Forest City and laid to rest by the side of her father and mother. Miss Halvorson was well and favorably known in this city where she and her sister have conducted the millinery store near the Emmet House for the past four years, she being the active member. Before coming to Estherville she had been a teacher in the Forest City schools, which position she held and filled with credit for sixteen years.

Helen Halverson was born in Lodi, Wisconsin, October 16, 1863, and in 1874 moved with her parents to Forest City, where she resided most of the time until coming to Estherville. She was a devoted christian, having united with the Synod Lutheran church when very young. She was a kind and loving sister and leaves five sisters, ten nieces and ten nephews, beside a large circle of friends to mourn her death. She was a niece of H.W. Halverson of this city.

Miss Helen Halverson was a good business woman, and enjoyed the confidence and respect of the entire community, and the business was prospering under her management. The Enterprise extends sympathy to the relatives in their bereavement.
