Rites Held for Orville Sabin
Rake – funeral services were held Tuesday for Orville Sabin, 29, from the home at Frost, Minn., and from Zion Lutheran church at Rake with the Rev. H.O. Mosby of Frost in charge. The military funeral was in charge of the Rake American legion post with the Legion from Bricelyn, Minn. Also attending.

Orville Sabin, son of Mrs. Mary Sabin died Friday at the Veterans hospital at Minneapolis where he had been for several weeks.

He was born to Mr. and Mrs. Nels Sabin March 7, 1915. He lived with his mother until he was inducted into the Army Dec. 2, 1941.

He received his basic training at Camp Roberts, Cal., and left the states April 5, 1942, for duty in Alaska. He served 2 years with the infantry in the Aleutians and received a medical discharge Jan. 27, 1944, from General Barnes hospital in Vancouver, Wash. He had been in ill health since.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Sabin, 6 brothers, and 5 sisters.
