Mrs Burt Thompson
dies at 82

Forest City- Mrs. Burt J. (Ethel Satterlee) Thompson 82, died in a nursing home in Mason City Friday morning. She had been a resident there the last 11 months.

Private family services will be in charge of Olson Funeral Home in Forest City.

Surviving are her husband, a prominent attorney; a son, Bruce, Forest City; two daughters, Mrs. Benjamin (Wilma) Hormel, Los Ageles; Mrs. Herbert (Janice) Galloway, White Bear Lake, Minn.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Dwight Satterlee, she was born July 23, 1883, at Dunlap.

Mr. and Mrs. Thompson were married Feb. 2, 1910.

Mrs. Thompson was active in the Congregational Church here, Woman's Club of Forest City and Mason City; Mason City Friends of the Library; Daughters of the American Revolution, PEO Sisterhood and community theater groups in Forest City.
