Funeral services for Daniel Bumgardner were held Thursday afternoon, 2:00 o'clock, at the Presbyterian church, Rev. R.P. Nelson had charge of the services. Casket bearers were Ed Raftis, Howard Voshell, Archie and Joy Wheeler, Leslie Wheeler and Clifford Wheeler. Burial was made in the Wadena cemetery.

Daniel Bumgardner, son of Martin and Caroline Church Bumgardner, was born at Mason City Jan. 26, 1865 and passed away at his home in Wadena Dec. 28, 1943.

He moved to Forest City with his parents when a small boy, spending most of his boyhood days there. His family was one of the early pioneers of Forest City.

He was united in marriage to Fannie Wheeler June 12, 1912 and established their home at Clarksville and in 1923 moved to Wadena where he since continued to reside.

He was baptized and united with the Christian church in 1913 and he remained a faithful member.

His father, mother, one sister and five brothers preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife; one sister, Mrs. Cora Durant, of St. Paul; one brother, Everett of Hector, Minn.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
