Forest City, May 17 - Funeral services were held yesterday for John Wellington Brooker, 71, Forest city. He was born near Blackstone, Livingston county, Ill., Aug. 4, 1862. In 1885 he was married to Miss Ida Ellis of that county and they resided in that vicinity until 1886 when they moved to Galva, Iowa. Since 1887 they have made their home in Hancock and Winnebago counties. He is survived by his widow, a son, Jay E. and a daughter, Miss Myrtle, both of Forest City, two sisters, Mrs. Emma McDowell and Mrs. Sarah Tompkings, two brothers, Frank S. of Forest City and Fred of Fairmont, Minn.
