Beverly Ann Larson
(August 16, 1937 - January 26, 2010)

Beverly Ann Larson, age 72, most recently of Rochester, Minnesota, formerly of Lake Mills, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Sunrise Cottages in Rochester.

Beverly Ann (Rygh) Larson was born on August 16, 1937, in Lake Mills, Iowa, to parents Cecil J. and Alma (Kloster) Rygh. She attended and graduated from Kiester High School, Kiester, Minnesota, in 1955.

On August 4, 1955, Beverly was united in marriage with K. Wayne Larson in Northwood, Iowa. The couple made their home farming and milking cows together in rural Lake Mills. Beverly moved into Lake Mills in 1989 and was employed at Fleetguard Industries.

Beverly was always loving and giving, sharing her time and talents with her family at home, her church family at Immanuel Lutheran, and with the community by volunteering at Opportunity Village in Clear Lake, Iowa, and helping at the Lake Mills Care Center in Lake Mills. At Immanuel Lutheran, Beverly was active with the choir, circle, Ladies Aid, and altar guild. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, music, reading, traveling, and sewing. Beverly especially enjoyed listening to her sons play the piano.

Survivors include her three sons, Mike (Rosanne) Larson of Lake Mills, IA, Gary (Ellen) Larson of Rochester, MN, and Bob (Julie) Larson of Jefferson, IA; grandchildren, Beth (Tony) Gretillat, Missy (Jon) Wacha, Mary, Kate, and Emma Larson, and Grace and Owen Larson; great grandchildren, Hailey, Ryan, Ray, and Michael; siblings, Barbara (Sam) Anderson of Apple Valley, MN, Janice Deane of Waterville, MN, Darwin (Annemarie) Rygh of Bremerton, WA, Lyle (Barbara) Rygh of Woodburn, OR, Deann (Paul) Brekke of Janesville, MN, Larry (Connie) Rygh of Albert Lea, MN, and David Rygh of Bricelyn, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband in 1987.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Scarville, Iowa, with Pastor Randy Baldwin officiating. Burial will take place in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Scarville.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 29, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Mittelstadt Funeral Home, 902 East Main Street in Lake Mills, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
