Obituaries for Salem North Cemetery
Oscar Wiggins (86) died 6-27-1945, after being in failing health for some time. He was born in Bristol, having lived there all his life until 3.5 years ago when he came to Lake Mills to live with his sister, Mrs. L.C. Greeley.
He was the son of Reuben & Corilla Wiggins and was born 1-29-1859, at Bristol. He was married 3-13-1885, to Mrs. Flora Whiting, of Greene. They farmed on the Keeler farm two years before purchasing a farm there. In 1914 they bought the Shay est. where they lived the rest of their lives. His wife died 12-7-1934.
Survived by two step-daughters, Mrs. Francis Kelly, Ismay, MT & Mrs. Carl Allan, Minneapolis & 2 sisters, Mrs. L.C. Greeley, L.M. & Mrs. Helen Kelly, Napoleon, N.D.; 7 grandchildren; 10 gr-grandchildren; 4 nephews & 1 niece.
Preceded in death by his wife & 3 brothers, Albert, Freeman & Alonzo. Funeral at Asbury, conducted by Rev. E.B. Falck and burial in Salem North Cemetery.
