Otto C. Pliley, 89, Lehigh, died Thursday evening at Trinity Regional Hospital following a short illness. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lehigh United Methodist Church with burial in West Lawn Cemetery, Lehigh. Gunerson-Sellergren Memorial Chapel, Fort Dodge, is in charge.

Surviving are the widow, Olive; sons James O. Pliley, Sacramento CA; Robert Pliley, Forest City; daughters Mrs. Harold Runyon and Mrs. Margaret Strom; 20 grand-children; four great-grandchildren; step-son Charles W. Jacob, Rockwell City; step-daughters Mrs. Elmer Williams, Mrs. Marion Dellachiesa and Mrs. Don Smith, all of Lehigh, and Mrs. Eddie Pritchard, Waterloo.

Mr. Pliley was born at Bush, Kansas, and later moved to Thomasboro, Illinois where he received his education. He came to Webster City in 1908 and then farmed for many years near Stratford and Lehigh. He was employed by the Lehigh Sewer Pipe and Tile Company from 1942 until his retirement in 1958. Mr. Pliley married Mrs. Olive Jacob in 1961 in Fort Dodge and they made their home in Lehigh.

Mr. Pliley was a member of the Lehigh Golden Age Club.
