PATRICK EARLY DIES FROM HIS INJURIES
Illinois Central Flagman Passes Away This Morning---
Patrick Early the veteran flagman who was accidently run over on Wednesday afternoo0n succumbed to his injuries this morning at 8:30. When the company's physcian Dr. Ristine examined the injured man he did not entertain the thought that his injuries were serious beyond the shock and soreness which would naturally follow a man of 62 years of age. His condition on the following morning was not alarming but later in the day began to show more serious symtoms. Dr. Ristine being absent from the city, Dr. Botsford was called and realized that his patient was in a serious condition; his mind at times being in a semi-conscious state. Dr. Evans was called in consultation . It was discovered that his head had sustained a jar sufficiently severe to disturb the brain and there was but slight chances under the circumstances for his survival. The lady who so unfortunately caused the accident is prostrated with grief. Ever since it was known that his condition was serious, she has been repeatedly to the house and has assisted in administering to his wants. The deceased was highly respected and his sad death has cast a gloom over the neighborhood where he resided.
