C.L. NICHOLAS, 55, DIES; FUNERAL ON WEDNESDAY
Chester L. Nicholas, 55, RFD 3, Fort Dodge, died late Saturday in Lutheran Hospital, where he had been a patient since June 22
Mr. Nicholas attended the Fort Dodge schools. He entered the service of the Illinois Central Railroad as a water boy, and later became a fireman and then an engineer. He retired from the railraod eight years ago because of poor health.
Surviving Mr. Nicholas are his wife, Mary, and his father, Arthur Nicholas, of Cedar Falls. He was married in 1930.
Mr. Nicholas was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineer and Firemen, and a member of the First Methodist Church.
Funeral services will he held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bruces Funeral Chapel, with the Dr. L. D. Havighurst of the First Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in the Dumcombe cemetery.
