Obituary
Margaret Walkup was born in Millersburg, Holmes County, Ohio, the 8th day of December 1842, and died the 26th day of February, 1909, at the age of 66 years, 2 months and 18 days. She was united to A. M. Donald Nov 23, 1865, and to this union was born one child which died in infancy. They have lived in Kansas, Oklahoma and for the past 6 years in Chicago. They visited friends and relatives the larger portion of the winter in and about Promise City, with the intention of moving on to Oklahoma early in the spring, to make their future home. She however passes away at the home of A. M. Donald, near Seymour, very unexpectedly, her health seemingly in very good condition, her death is thought to be caused by a paralytic stroke. She leaves her husband, three brothers and two sisters to mourn her departure. After a short service which was in charge of the Rev. VanDyke of Promise City, the remains were moved to Chicago for interment.
