Her mother died July 5, 1874, in Bentley, Ill., and the same year with her father, two sisters and one brother, she moved to Wayne County, Iowa, in which she has resided ever since. She was married to Hugh Allan on March 20, 1874. To this union were born three children, Orville H., who died in infancy; Mrs. L. W. Stroud, of Corydon; and G. G. Allan, of Seymour; who survive her. Her husband preceded her in death seven years, having died Dec. 24, 1926. Since her husband’s death she has spent her time with her children. Besides her two children, she leaves to mourn her going eleven grandchildren; one brother N. F. Howell, of Spokane, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Robert Allan, of Beatrice, Neb.; and many other relatives and friends. She was a kind and loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed in their homes.
