Leon, Iowa - Bryan Shockey,77, of near Lineville, Iowa, died Wednesday at a hospital here. He was a lifelong resident of the Lineville area. Mr. Shockey was a farmer near Lineville before he retired in 1970. He was a past member of the Lineville Town Council. He was a member of the Lineville Assembly of God Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Bessie Shockey of the home; two sons, Carl Shockey, Newton, Iowa, and Billy Shockey, Kansas City; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Rockhold, Lineville; Mrs. Violet Rutledge, Independence, and Mrs. Velora Hashman, Newton; a brother, Earl Shockey, Lineville; 16 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will at be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greenlee Chapel, Lineville; burial in Evergreen Cemetery there. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the chapel.
