FERN McCLAIN (Linville, IA) ... Erma Fern McClain, daughter of Edgar and Gertrude [Dunbar] Elson was born near Clio, IA, on November 10, 1912 and died on April 24, 1993 at the Wayne County Hospital at Corydon, IA, at the age of 80 years.

Fern was united in marriage to Ora McClain on March 4, 1936 at Lineville, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Charles Elson; and by one sister, Mary Jane Jordan.

She is survived by her husband, Ora, of the home and by several nieces and nephews.

Fern had lived all of her life in the Clio an Lineville, IA, area an was a member of the Lineville United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 26, 1993, at 10:30 A.M. at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Lineville, IA. Services were conducted by Rev. Max Carmichael with burial in the Clio, IA Cemetery.
