Larry (Louie) Hanshaw Jr., 51 of Pleasant Plain, died Monday, Dec 16, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City after complications from a work injury.
Mr. Hanshaw was born March 28, 1962, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Larry Hanshaw Sr. and Virginia Knight Hanshaw Gleason. He married Gina Johnson Jan 24, 1991, in Pleasant Plain.
Survivors include his wife, Gina Hanshaw of Pleasant Plain; two daughters, Amanda Anderson and husband Nathan of Keota, and Megan Waterhouse and husband Trent of Wayland; one son, Trevor Hanshaw and significant other Elizabeth Tschantz of Brighton; eight grandchildren; his mother, Virginia Gleason of Pleasant Plain; one brother, Terry Hanshaw and wife Joni of Fairfield; and one sister, Kim Schreffler and husband Gary of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Hanshaw Sr. and his grandparents.
