Cloyce Pickering dies Friday morning.

Brighton - Cloyce Pickering, 64, a resident of Pleasant Plain for the past 62 years, died unexpectedly Friday morning, August 17, 1979 at the Washington County Hospital. He had not been well the past two years.

The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Pleasant Plain Friends Church with the Rev. Ron Bryan in charge. Gould Funeral Home of Brighton is handling the arrangements.

Mr. Pickering had retired in the fall of 1978 after working for Rockwell International in Fairfield the past 13 years.

He was born in Washington County July 8, 1915, a son of Jesse and Arminda Frances Lambert Pickering. He married Maxine Wolfe June 8, 1936.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Debbie Dunbar and Kay Whitaker, and two sons: Francis L. and Lonnie L. Pickering, all of Pleasant Plain. Also ten grandchildren; one sister, Inez Hinshaw of Pleasant Plain.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild
