Milo Charles Luers, age 96, of Washington, Iowa, formerly of Keota, Iowa, died under hospice care on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the family farm.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the Prairie Flower Baptist Church with Willie Van Der Molen, Pastor David Cotner, and Pastor Tim O’Tool officiating. Calling hours will begin noon Tuesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 Tuesday evening. Interment will take place at the Bethel Cemetery south of Harper, Iowa. Memorials have been established for Prairie Flower Baptist Church, Good Neighbor Fellowship in Keota or Hospice of Washington County. Milo was born September 17, 1925 on the family farm southwest of Kinross, Iowa, the son of William and Rosalie (Romberg) Luers. He attended school in Kinross and graduated from Kinross High School. Milo was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Betty” Agnes Molyneux on September 5, 1948.

Milo lived and farmed southwest of Kinross his entire life retiring at the age of 80. He moved to Washington, Iowa, following his retirement. He loved farming and was a proud steward of the land. He was a dedicated member of Prairie Flower Baptist Church. Milo was a member of Farm Bureau and the Fellowship of Christian Farmers.

He is survived by his son, Edwin Luers and wife Rita of Keota, Iowa; daughter, LuAnn Pack and husband Bill; six grandchildren: Lora (Joel) Banister, Lisa (Willie) Van Der Molen, Lynnae (Shane) Callison, Will (Melissa) Luers, Tanner Pack, and Ramsey Pack; as well as 17 great grandchildren.

Milo was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty in 2000; sister, Ruth Conrad; brother, Dean Luers; and cherished friend, Adele McPike.
