Harold V. Schnoebelen

CRAWFORDSVILLE - Harold V. Schnoebelen, 82, of rural Crawfordsville, died Tuesday at his home after a short illness.
Services are scheduled Thursday at 10 a.m. at the St. James Catholic Church in Washington, Iowa, with the Rev. Jonathan Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the Schnoebelen Cemetery, rural Riverside.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the Peterseim Chapel in Kalona.
He was born Aug. 26, 1895, in rural Riverside, a son of Leo and Ida Hervert Schnoebelen.
He married Marie Welte, Feb. 14, 1918. She died in May, 1958.
He married Leta Salyers, June 5, 1965. He was a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, one son, Robert, two stepsons, Carrol W. and William R. Salyers, a grandson and four step-grandchildren.
He is also survived by a sister, Ruth Pecanek of Moline, Ill., and a brother, Ivo Schnoebelen of Glendale, Calif.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
