Kathryn Genivieve "Kate" Ross, age 88, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Tuesday March 6, 2018 at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington. Kate was born July 17, 1929 in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of William Henry and Odessa L (McNeese) Hotle. Kate was united in marriage to Robert R Ross on June 26, 1949 in Washington, Iowa. She is survived by her husband, Robert R Ross of Washington, Iowa; William Ross and wife Nora of Redmond, Ore,; son-in-law, Rich Pierson of Washington, Iowa; grandchildren; Michael Pierson and wife Danielle of Fairfax, VA; Brett Pierson of Washington, Iowa; Brian Pierson of North Liberty, Iowa; Maggie Pierson of Washington, Iowa and Cory Ross and wife Kelly of Washington, Iowa; and eight great-grandchildren. Kate was preceded in death by her son, Tony Ross; daughter, Kristine Pierson; parents, William and Odessa Hotle; and siblings; Jacob, Stanley, Paul, Eugene, Keith, Hazel Virginia, Ruth, Norma, and Dorothy.
