Joseph H. TeBockhorst
RICHMOND - Joseph H. TeBockhorst, 88, a lifelong resident of the Richmond area, died Saturday at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, where he had been a patient for nine days.
His funeral is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond, the Rev. L.J. Bergthold officiating. Prayer services will be held at the Peterseim Funeral Home, Kalona, at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. today. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 11, 1886, in Washington County, the son of William and Mary Abhalter TeBockhorst. He married Bess Shalla, Nov. 22, 1911 at Richmond. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Foresters.
Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Lamont (Wilma) Kelley and Mrs. Harold (Letitia) Sahs, both of Kalona; Mrs. Darrell (Dorothy) Goodwin of Wellman, and Mrs. Dale (Mary Ann) Duwa of Keota; a son, Urban of Kalona; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Anna Escher and Clara TeBockhorst, both of Kalona.
He was preceded in death by a son, five brothers and one sister.SERVICES FROM
