A. Nelson Dies At 77

Services for Albert C. Nelson, 77, 900 W. Briggs, will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church of Fairfield.

Nelson died Thursday at the Jefferson County Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. Rites will be conducted by the Rev. Lenwood Monte with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The casket will be taken from the Raymond Funeral Home to the church Saturday at noon.

A retired Dexter Co. employe, Nelson had been employed there for 26 years. He was born June 14, 1897 at Washington, the son of Charles and Carrie Wick Nelson. He was reared and educated in Washington and Jefferson Counties.

He was married to Jeannette Winters May 28, 1931. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his widow; one son, Carl, Davenport; and two daughters, Mrs. Wilda Napolitano, Van Nuys, Calif., and Anita Nelson at home.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, a brother, Arthur Nelson, Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Virgil Mozena, Marion; and Mrs. Willard Thompson, Englewood, Colo.; a half-brother, Roy Nelson, Hayfield, Minn.; and a half-sister, Mrs. Mabel Sodergren, Dixon, Ill.

Preceding him in death were one brother, one sister, two half-brothers and a half-sister.
