Joseph V. Kos died at the age of 63 years, 4 months, and 9 days, of a heart attack at his place of business, Richmond Feed Store, on Thursday, March 2. He had operated the store for the past 15 years. He was also an active member of the ZCBJ lodge.
He was born October 23, 1903 at Richmond, the son of Joseph and Barbara Spevacek Kos. On September 16, 1927 he was married to Myrtle McCombs in Chicago.
Surviving are his widow, two sons, Joe of Dubuque and John at home; three sisters: Mrs. Alice Stumpf, Mrs. Hilda Kern and Mrs. Harry Strabala, all of Richmond, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
