John F. Johnson, 81, dies here

John F. Johnson, 81. a resident at the United Presbyterian Home here, died this morning. July 15, 1974, at the Washington County Hospital. He had been ill the past two weeks.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Jones Funeral Home with Rev. William E. Biedermann in charge Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson had managed a Lutheran Home at Mendota. 1llinois, until he and his wife retired and moved to Washington in 1967.

Mr. Johnson was born Dec 21, 1892, at Craig, Iowa, a son of Richard and Katherine Perreboom Johnson. He was reared there and married March 12, 1919, to Mollie Zempel She died July 27, 1972. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Surviving is one son, Warren H Johnson of Cedar Rapids, one daughter. Mrs. Louis Fuhrmeister of Iowa City; one grandson. He was the last of his family
