Beulah K. Rowe, 96, died Wed. Oct. 16, 1991, at the English Valley Care Center in North English.

She was born on Dec. 13, 1894, in Washington County, near Wellman, a daughter of Henry and Matilda Eckhardt Schmeizer. She was married to Carl Martin in 1923 and lived in the Green Valley community near North English. Carl died in 1927. Beulah married Roy E. Rowe on May 11, 1937, in Iowa City. They operated a restaurant in Hedrick for several years before farming in the North English and Millersburg Communities. Beulah was a member of the Millersburg United Methodist Church, an honorary member of the Millersburg Garden Club and was a member of the Friendly Neighbor Club. Roy preceded her in death in April 1986. Beulah became a resident of the English Valley Care Center in North English in December 1983.

She is survived by a brother Lee Schmeizer; several nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and a brother, Joe Schmeizer.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Sat. Oct. 19, 1991, at the Powell Funeral Home in North English with Rev. Larry Riegel officiating. Interment was in the Wellman Cemetery.
