Robin Rose Vigil, 80, of Brighton, died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at All American Care in Washington, Iowa.
A funeral is at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton with the Rev. Rick Zickefoose officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery following cremation.
Visitation is at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home, an hour before the service.
Memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 207 S. Mechanic St., Brighton 52540.
Gould Funeral Home in Brighton is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Vigil was born March 22, 1934, in Galva, Iowa, the daughter of Alva Winfield and Pansy Melvina Higgins Little. She married Nick Vigil Sept. 26, 1975, in Dakota City, Nebraska. He died Aug. 23, 1996.
She grew up in Salem, Indiana, then moved to Storm Lake and attended school there.
She worked as a motel room inspector and traveled the U.S. extensively. She was a member of the Jolly-60 Club in Washington.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Banks of Newell and Bradley Banks of Sioux City; one daughter, Trudy Grover and spouse Dick of Sioux City; four stepchildren, Nicanor Elmer Vigil III, Terrie K. Vigil of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Terry B. Vigil of Minneapolis and Jim D. Smith of LaHarpe, Illinois; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lowell Little of Salem, Indiana, Micky Little of South Sioux, Nebraska, and Jerry Lee Little of California; and two sisters, Mary Jo Brandon of California and Nancy Rusell of Marcus.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded by her parents; one son, Jerry Banks; one infant daughter; two infant sisters; and two brothers, Donavon Little and an infant.
