Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” April 30, 1941:

MRS. LUE DEVORE 1901-1941

Mrs. Lue Devore, 30, wife of Frank Devore of Agency, died at the Sigourney hospital at 6:40 a.m. today.

The daughter of Moses and Sarah Martin, she was born in Keokuk county, September 30, 1901. Resident of Ottumwa for eight years, she had been living in Agency for the last year.

Surviving are: four daughters, Rozella Keasling and Mrs. Mildred Hoskins of Agency, Mrs. Irene Bell of Ottumwa and Mrs. Lucille Ash of Hedrick; three sons, Harlan and Dallas Keasling of Agency and Howard Keasling of Hedrick; three grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Sarah Jingles [sic-should be Gingles] of Richland; two brothers, Linden Martin of Ottumwa and David Martin of Delores, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Flossie Clarke of Ottumwa and a half sister, Mrs. Edith Van Dyke of Richland.

The body has been removed to the Johnson funeral chapel here, pending completion of arrangements.

Funeral Notice from “Ottumwa Courier,” May 1, 1941:

Funeral services for Mrs. Lue Devore, wife of Frank Devore of Agency, who died Wednesday at Sigourney, will be at the Johnson funeral chapel at 1:30 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. R.L. Morgan of the North Side Nazarene church. Burial will be in Hillcrest cemetery at Brighton.
