Death of Dr. Rook

It was a great surprise to hear of the death of Dr. Rork Saturday morning. Everybody thought he was getting along well and expected him to be working at the dentistry business soon. He had his instruments and all his furniture and was intending to be at work in a short time. Last fall he took some special work in Chicago, preparing to go to work. For a few days last week he was indisposed, and the first the town knew he was worse was when the word passed along that he died Saturday morning about nine o’clock.

He had been a citizen of this town a good many years and was well liked by his associates, although he cared but little for social life and did not go away from home or from his place of business very much. He was a man of fine artistic tastes and enjoyed fine literature, a good picture or a good play with the appreciation of a connoisseur.

Dr. Orville E. Rork was a native of New York state. He was a dentist for a good many years. When he went out of business he sold to Dr. Crooks. He was 52, and it seems that he should have lived many years longer. He leaves a wife to mourn his untimely death.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon...{unreadable}.Pallbears were {unreadable}...H. Wilson, Ab. Anderson, Elmer Wells, J. S. Shearer and S. A. White.
